Practical Weapons Defense
At Full Circle we strive to make weapons defense realistic, practical and easy to retain.
Because if the bad guys pulls out a weapon, the dynamic of fighting changes. It now becomes a matter of life and death and bad principles can get you killed. For example, attempting a jujitsu take down against someone with a knife is a bad idea.
We train to defend against knives, clubs and baseball bats which are the most common weapon you will encounter.
For some, sparring is the most treasured part of training. For others, it is a necessary evil.
But for everyone, they grow from sparring.
Confidence, overcoming fear, stress inoculation, improving skills, adrenaline control....
Our training philosophy is one of sparring at your skill level and aggression. We fully understand that not everyone wants to be a warrior and very few people want to go full contact. That's fine - we encourage you to spar at your level and get better at your pace.
Because we are a mixed martial arts program, we allow almost anything to be attempted within certain guidelines such as: no full power strikes, no joint strikes and control at all times.
